Teacher Appreciation Month Spotlight: Lisa Clay of Carmel ES!
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating a school 2025 Teacher of the Year each day! Early Intervention Program teacher Lisa Clay, a 30-year educator, is the Teacher of the Year for Carmel Elementary School!
“One of the things I admire most about Lisa is her patience,” a colleague shared. “She’s always there for her students, no matter where they are in their learning journey, and she never rushes them. She really takes the time to get to know each student as a person — learning about their backgrounds, their families, and their cultures. Because of this, her students feel safe being themselves, and when that happens, they thrive.
